HOW TO BID AT OUR AUCTION

LIVE BIDDING

Our auctions are free and open to the public with no obligation for the attendees to bid. There is no need to come for the beginning of an auction and stay for the entire sale; you may come and go from the auction as you please. Should you choose to bid at the live auction, you must register for a bidder number at the entrance to the auction.

Once the auction begins, the auctioneer will clearly announce the lot number and bid increments as the bidding begins and proceeds. To place a bid, raise your bidder card to the auctioneer for his or her recognition. When all of the bidding is through, the auctioneer will give fair warning, sell the item to the final bidder, and announce the price and bidder number. When you are finished bidding on the lots in which you are interested, please pick up your invoice at the  check-out counter and make arrangements for payment and pickup.

INTERNET BIDDING

Vero Beach Auction, Inc., catalogs are hosted at liveauctioneers.com. You can bid using a web browser live during auction sessions by either clicking on the “Bid Live Online” button on our website or registering at least three hours before the auction, or by registering directly at liveauctioneers.com.
The best way to ensure you win the lots you really want is to attend the auction in person, and we'd love to meet you, but when attending the auction in person is just not possible, bidding live online from the comfort of your home or office is a great alternative.

ABSENTEE BIDDING

For buyers unable to participate live in the Auction or on the telephone, Vero Beach Auction, Inc., offers the option of leaving Absentee Bids. Absentee Bids work exactly as if the bidder were in the auction bidding up to a pre-determined price limit.  This bid will be confidentially entered by the auction clerk. Our auctioneer will bid on your behalf alternately against other bidders until the bidding ends. In the event that the other bidders drop out before reaching the full amount of your left bid, you will purchase the lot at the next increment. The completed and signed bid forms must be received by us no later than 4PM (EST) on the evening before the auction. If you are the winning bidder, an invoice will be emailed to you within the next 2 days.

TELEPHONE BIDDING

Clients unable to attend the sale may still participate live at the auction by bidding on the telephone with a trained staff member. Please fill out and fax back the completed form.  It must be received no later than 4PM (EST) on the day before the auction. Upon registering, an experienced staff member will call you the day of the auction approximately five lots before yours is scheduled to be sold. They will communicate with you what bid the auctioneer is asking for and execute your bids at your discretion. If you are the winning bidder, an invoice will be emailed to you within the next 2 days.
